Las Casas will award an educator the chance to attend Broadway Teaching Group’s Broadway Teacher Workshop in New York City at the 2020 Joci Awards. Selected educator must be available to attend “Session C,” scheduled for July 13 – 15, 2020.* Las Casas will cover registration, airfare, hotel, and provide a $50 per day diem. The teacher has the option to add on a one-day intensive at their own expense. Intensives take place on July 12th and can be in one of the following areas: Directing, Tech, Music Directing. Educators who have submitted an Intent to Participate form to have their musicals adjudicated this school year or educators who have at least three students apply for The Majestic Empire Foundation’s Performing Arts Scholarship Program will be eligible to win. As directed by Las Casas’ Education and Scholarship committees, the educator will be drawn randomly.

*Session date is not flexible as Las Casas has already reserved a spot.
