The Majestic Empire Foundation is pleased to announce that 25 finalists from 12 high schools in San Antonio and Austin have earned a place at the 2016 Joci Awards! These finalists will sing, act and dance, vying for a chance to win a portion of $100,000 in scholarship funds.
The Joci Awards, which will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2016 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre, is open to the public. Tickets start at $10 and are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased online here, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, or in person at the Majestic Theatre Box Office, located at 226 E. Houston St. Ticket sales benefit The Majestic Empire Foundation’s scholarship fund.
Five categories are included: Acting, Best Lead Actor in a Musical, Best Lead Actress in a Musical, Dance and Vocal. Each category will award scholarships ranging from $2,000 – $5,000. An additional $10,000 is awarded to an overall winner.
